A Series of Poor Decisions

WOW, Netflix. This has just been a series of really poor business decisions. Who was managing this catastrophe? Netflix had such a solid business plan, and seemingly intelligent and consistent management. You know the old saying, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it?” Well, maybe someone should have said that to Reed Hastings a few months ago. Not only did Netflix raise prices, but then to made the bizarre move to de-brand their perfectly branding company by adding Qwikster…WHAT? And now, it’s like they just woke up in a strangers bed after a bad night of partying, and all they want to do is forget, and run away, the horrible decisions they’ve just made. Oh man, I’m starting to feel embarrassed for them now.

So, for now I currently have my Netflix account on hold…I’m sorry but $17/month for 1 DVD at a time and streaming on my 13 in. laptop – not worth it! Maybe if/when I starting making a little more money (you know, in this booming economy), I”ll unfreeze it, but until then, my Netflix account will continue to collect some dust. Sorry!
