MEDIA MINDED

Tumblr

Posted in Social Media by Natalie on June 1, 2012

Hello All –

Just a quick announcement that I’ve been testing out a new blog over on Tumblr. I’m still a big fan of the WordPress dashboard and posting capabilities, but Tumblr has my heart in terms of ease of re-blogging and direct posts from Instagram, which I’m currently obsessed with (tech-victim? most likely).

Anyway, you can check out what I’m currently saying over on my Tumblr blog: media-minded.tumblr.com

Until I return…farewell!

Cycling in Vienna

“Bicycles will get you from A to B quicker than anything else in the city. They have many advantages over cars. Environmentally friendly (no exhaust fumes, no noise) they are a good way of keeping fit as well. They require little space so traffic jams are never a problem. No need to look out for parking space either.”

Some of you may have noticed that I was missing from Media Minded for quite some time. But, do not fret, I wasn’t completely neglecting my blogging duties. I was just blog, blogging away over at my other blog, Origami Cheesecake. It’s more or less the same as Media Minded, but includes more academic pursuits, such as research papers and media business write-ups. Anyway, if that interests you in the least, check it out.

Beauty in the Small Things

Posted in Art & Design by Natalie on September 19, 2011

Thanks to Smashing Mag, I was recently introduced to the blog, Less than 100g: A blog dedicated to tiny & beautiful stuff. The blog provides simple, yet striking images of tiny, artistically inspirational objects. From stamps to erasers, it’s amazing how commonplace the objects featured are. Makes one want to take time to notice all the tiny, beautiful things floating through one’s own life. Cultivate an appreciation for the everyday…for the small things (pun intended).

Each object(s), or work of art, is accompanied by an informative, entertaining write up. And, the design of the blog itself is something to be of note. Really digging the magazine vibe. Looking forward to more Issues.

Check the site out here.
